Lin La Mer
Dear Fellow Members,
It has been an honor to serve as your President for the past three years. EAFA is a wonderful group full talented artists and wonderful people. It is now time for me to concentrate more on my own art business and give someone else the opportunity to lead this amazing group. Serving as your president has really been a wonderful experience, but it is now time for some new leadership and new ideas so that EAFA can continue to thrive and grow and better serve its membership. Please come and talk to me or call me. I would love to answer any question you have or just chat about being president.
The one thing I have heard over and over is "I can't do public speaking". Guess what - neither can I! If that's all that is holding you back don't let it. Your audience is people you know - they are your friends and they are your support. Yes, there's more time involved than volunteering for specific projects, but the time I've spent has been a great learning and growing experience and I have gained so much more in return with contacts, connections and friendships that probably would not have come my way had I not been president of EAFA.
EAFA is a well-organized group with all kinds of members willing to help. I have had so many people give freely of their time and experience over these past three years, and I appreciate every one of you and thank you all. I would be happy to assist the next president in getting oriented to the duties as president. I also fully intend to continue to be a presence in EAFA and contribute to its continued success.
