EAFA is pleased to officially recognize and add the category "Digital Art" for our public art and exhibition venues, and welcomes digital artists and their work as a legitimate art form for consideration in our juried shows and other venues.
Digital Art, Computer Art, Digital Drawing, Digital Painting and Digital Design are all terms used for artistic works that use digital technology as an essential tool during the creation of submitted work. In simple terms, the final product submitted would not be possible without the use of computer technology. Images that have been materially modified by a computing process and are then utilized in the final product shall be deemed Digital Art, including work that also incorporates traditional painting media into the final product.
All artwork that fits the EAFA definition of Digital Art must be entered in this category and/or labeled as such for EAFA show purposes. We look forward to exhibiting more new and imaginative work from all our EAFA artists at all of our EAFA venues.
