Forrest modestly downgrades the title of accountant, but describes himself as "part time helper" to our Treasurer, a job which requires considerable time and skill.
Painting has been a hobby for about thirty years and his favorite medium is watercolor. Landscapes appeal strongly to him and we agreed that the Oregon Coast, Mt Rainier, and all of Western Washington inspires artists in many fields.
His college degree was a double major in art and English. Since he retired from the telecommunications field, he has been able to indulge those interests by painting and writing poetry. In addition to painting, he writes a blog, creates poetry, and does the usual household chores that none of us can escape.
He thoroughly enjoys his association with EAFA as an opportunity to show his work and to engage in conversation with other artists.
Volunteer help from our members is what makes EAFA a strong and vibrant organization from which we all benefit.

Around the head
The wanton wind fills
The sails of man
To unknown journeys
By helms command,
Around the head the unknown shore,
Sailing, by the ancient lore.
We search and find
The salty dreams
On azure seas.
Tacking to the winded
Breeze, solitary man
Regaling forth
The ancient rhymes
Of the true north.
The quest the sea
The eternal mystery.
"Around the Head", painting and poem by Forrest Goldade
