WANTED: Volunteer to Chair EAFA Digital Design Committee

Do you enjoy working with personal computers and smart, friendly artists who share your interests? If so, here’s your chance! Longtime Digital Design Committee (DDC) Chair Fred Edwards is leaving this important post effective June 1, 2010. We need to find his successor as soon as possible so that Fred can begin passing on his wisdom and experience to his replacement.

The DDC provides research, review, and recommendations to the EAFA Board of Directors on ideas and technical services related to digital imaging, databases, website development, centralized data management, membership, show entry systems, and other computer-based initiatives. You do not have to be an expert in all these areas, but you should be comfortable discussing them with and coordinating the activities of people who are. This implies long familiarity with personal computers and an interest in their usefulness and application to the management of EAFA’s membership program, annual shows, and Website development.

The Digital Design Committee Chair serves as a voting member of the EAFA Board of Directors. In addition to the Chair, the Digital Design Committee includes the Treasurer, Membership Chair, Editor, Web Master, and Show Entry Manager. If you are interested in serving EAFA in this vital position, please contact Steve Whitney by email stevewhy42@hotmail.com) or phone (425-485-6446) for details.
